Spanish Heat by Milaya Marks!

Posted on May 20th, 2010 by by Ava

A little bit of pimpage today as a good friend of mine, the lovely and uber-talented Ms Milaya Marks, has her first release with the Wild Rose Press! Spanish Heat is available from today here.

This hot novella is exactly what you need this weekend. Here’s the blurb and a sneak peek to whet your appetite:

Eager to end her dry spell, sexually deprived Serena Ryan craves fun in the sun with an anonymous hottie. Her first overseas assignment–write a guidebook on the balmy Canary Islands–supplies the heat and the opportunity. An afternoon of steamy sex with a virile stranger takes the edge off until she discovers he is none other than hotelier Antonio Delgado. Her hopes of an uncomplicated fling go up in smoke as their passion rises, along with the Spanish Heat.

Excerpt

Unable to stop himself, Antonio tucked a loose strand of hair behind Serena’s ear. She stiffened. Her shoulder muscles tensed, and her throat moved delicately as she swallowed. His cock jumped at the sight.

“Please,” she said softly.

“Please what, mi querida?” Antonio whispered, leaning toward her. He should step away, give her room to breathe, but he couldn’t tear himself away. He couldn’t be in the same room without wanting to touch her.

“Please don’t,” Serena whispered. “We shouldn’t do this. I’m a professional, and I’m here on assignment. This isn’t right.”

“This is right,” Antonio said, straightening. “Besides, you just said the management should take a more—how do you say it?—hands on approach to welcoming the guests.”

Serena smiled and glanced at his hands, just for a second, but it was enough. He grinned.

“Antonio, I’m not here to tell you how to run your resort.”

“Then why are you here?”

It was a dangerous question, one so loaded with possibility that a lesser woman might avoid it all together. But Serena was better than that.

She bit her lip, then shook her head and threw her hands up in the air. “Oh, what the hell. I came here for an encore, and I don’t really think it’s fair if I leave without one.”

Coming Home is Out Now!

Posted on February 9th, 2010 by by Ava

I’m so excited! Coming Home releases today from Samhain Publishing!

Brett and Cade are two of my favorite heroes. I hope you enjoy reading about them as much as I enjoyed writing them :)

To whet your appetite, here’s the blurb:

Bound by grief, branded by need too intense to ignore…

After an accident kills Brett Miller’s parents, the reins of Steeplecrest Ranch fall to him. The arrival of rightful half-owner Cade Armstrong, who lost his parents in the same accident, only kicks up the tension. Brett would rather buy out Cade’s share and send the man back to New York, but his hands are tied.

After seven years leading a hedonistic life in the big city, Cade returns to face his loss. Once he’s got acres of rolling ranch land back under his feet he discovers he wants to keep them planted on home ground—and show the man he’s lusted after since puberty just how good they’d be together.

Then Cade’s friend, Jessica, arrives from the city and the sexual tension rockets from simmer to full boil. Brett finds himself incredibly turned on—and incredibly confused. Cade is through waiting for Brett’s mind to open wide enough to let love in. It’s time for the proper application of an emotional crowbar. Even if it means he could lose Brett forever.

Getting Hers Releases Today!

Posted on November 18th, 2009 by by Ava

My very first quickie for Ellora’s Cave releases today! Getting Hers, a story about lust in the office, was a lot of fun to wrote and I hope readers love Melanie and Parker as much as I do!

Here’s the blurb:

Parker Stevens has one golden rule—never mix business with pleasure. But when Melanie, his curvaceous secretary whose sultry red lips turn him to stone, announces she’s leaving him, he’s finally free to claim what he’s craved since she first sashayed into his office six years ago.

Melanie’s been in love with her charismatic boss since the beginning, and when a sudden blackout traps them in an elevator together, fantasy finally becomes reality. Parker brings her darkest desires to the fore, driving her from climax to climax. How on earth can she leave him now?

More Reviews!!!

Posted on November 7th, 2009 by by Ava

The reviews just keep rolling in for Lucy’s Neighbors and Breaking Ground and I’m so grateful to the review sites for giving these books such positive feedback!

Lucy’s Neighbors received 5 angels from Lynn at Fallen Angels Reviews. Here’s a snippet:
In Lucy’s Neighbors Ms. Johnson gets off to a strong start, immediately pulling the reader into Lucy’s point of view…what’s there not to like about two gorgeous men who are comfortable with their own sexuality, not afraid of commitment, have a healthy sense of humor and are looking for a woman to have, hold and make love to every night? …although they may be sensitive and supportive, both men have enough Alpha in them to make it extremely difficult for her to just cut and run…Ms Johnson is able to fully develop her main characters and leave the reader well satisfied at the end. Five Angels.

And Ashley from Fallen Angels Reviews gave Breaking Ground a wonderful review:

Breaking Ground turned out to be a sweet, and spicy, tale of love between friends…It was easy to see that these two love each other, and I felt myself reaching out to Ray and Eric…Things between them are very intense, in and out of bed, and I enjoyed every page. Breaking Ground is a great story of finding unexpected love, and figuring out how to keep it.

Thank you Fallen Angels!!!

And also readers, keep an eye on this blog as I’ll be announcning a Christmas contest next week!

Reviews are in!

Posted on October 21st, 2009 by by Ava

This week the reviews seem to be pouring in for Lucy’s Neighbors and thankfully they’re all good!

Here are a few snippets:

Ms. Johnson has created pure erotic pleasure with her new book Lucy’s Neighbors…The love scenes are delectable, the sex blistering hot and playful filled with fire and tender affections…4.5 hearts! ~ Shannon at The Romance Studio

This was a read that I was anxious to get back to when I was drawn away from it. I would kill for one man with the qualities these two possess. A delightfully naughty read, with the satisfying aspect of Lucy finding her inner strength and giving hell to those who deserved it. ~ Chris at Night Owl Romance

Lucy’s Neighbors will captivate you almost from the start….The three of them, either together or in pairs, will have you getting the ice-cubes and fans out…I will be reading this one again..5 nymphs!
~ Amazon Nymph at Literary Nymphs

Yay!
